With the convoluted saga of Zion Wildlife Gardens/ Kingdom of Zion appearing on our screens and radios from time to time, and the lack of detailed information compiled from publicly accessible sources, I decided a while ago to start a chronology of the place, a zoo for big cats at Kamo near Whangarei. Paw Prints is the result, a constantly updated compilation of what's been said about various aspects of court cases, criminal charges, animals coming and going, questions as to fundraising and more.
It's far more comprehensive than the NZ Lionman version which only has a one sided version with many gaps.

ReplyDeleteAs a Whangarei resident, while I would love to take my pre-schooler for a birthday visit I dont think I could in good conscience pay money to that concern. Its all quite sordid and unfortunate.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of it before. No wonder they made it into a TV show...it reads like a three act opera set to the swelling soundtrack of feline roars and howls of pain.
