From what I recall it was one of the prde and joy buildings of the early Auckland Zoo. The first Giraffe came in 1923 from Africa. They can be frightening when they come up to you but it is essentially curiosity. They will try to take things from you just to find out what they are, but they don't have bad intent. The only time they get nasty is when they have their young around and the human is being proactive. <br /><br />I must say, Auckland Zoo is quite impressive.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
