I have, however, had great discussions with the gardener there and he is VERY knowledgeable and friendly.
Lovely post - xxxCathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14883597974635141668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4466403878576837579.post-84539452809748025482010-10-21T21:00:52.383+13:002010-10-21T21:00:52.383+13:00Hi Sandy. So often I've visited places like this, and found not a thing about the place itself, just more tikis. And I agree -- the food is scrummy there.Timespannerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11990716041045862669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4466403878576837579.post-60912087090119146182010-10-21T20:50:19.758+13:002010-10-21T20:50:19.758+13:00I just read what Phil wrote. Their shop is great for gifts! Quite reasonable and lots of interesting things :-) did you have a look through it? Their food is rather nice also and very reasonable.

I Sandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15596980842958337137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4466403878576837579.post-74390709153686182322010-10-20T13:05:48.292+13:002010-10-20T13:05:48.292+13:00Thanks for that, Phil. Nothing wrong with the term -- it's an era, not a political statement.Timespannerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11990716041045862669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4466403878576837579.post-69753228788604441902010-10-20T12:59:54.082+13:002010-10-20T12:59:54.082+13:00Before moving west 10 years ago, I lived almost wi...Before moving west 10 years ago, I lived almost within a stone's throw of the village and watched it develop into a really good facility. I haven't been there since we moved and it's clear from your photos that the programme of improvements has not let up. During the time I lived nearby, the name was changed from the Howick Colonial Village which was seen as politically incorrect and Phil Hansonnoreply@blogger.com
